To learn more about the American Medical Association’s work and its impact on shaping policies and laws for obstetrics and gynecology and removing barriers to running a sustainable practice, the American Medical Association (AMA) invites you to participate in a special AMA Roundtable on Tuesday featuring AMA President and fellow ob-gyn, Robert Wah, MD, FACOG.
The session takes place from 12 to 1:30 pm in Room 236-238 of the Moscone Center. Dr. Wah will lead an interactive discussion on:
- Re-establishing Medicaid parity with Medicare rates with inclusion of ob-gyns
- Protecting the patient-physician relationship
- Medical liability reform at the state and federal levels
Lunch will be provided, and all physicians and medical students are invited to attend.
In the face of new regulations and a continually evolving health care system, the AMA empowers physicians to succeed. The AMA protects physicians’ interests and enhances their ability to care for diverse patient populations by shaping policies and laws to remove barriers to running a sustainable practice.
Your active participation in organized medicine, through membership in ACOG and the AMA, ensures the specialty will continue to have an impact on the significant changes taking place in our health care system. Strong representation in the AMA House of Delegates (HOD) — the policymaking body of the AMA — allows us to have a collective voice through which we can bring forth the perspectives and interests of our specialty.
To help strengthen ACOG’s voice in the AMA HOD, be sure to cast your specialty ballot for ACOG. AMA membership representatives will be available at AMA booth, booth 1211, in the Exhibition Hall, to verify your membership information and help you cast your specialty ballot.
