The Junior Fellow Congress Advisory Council (JFCAC) elected Kristen P. Zeligs, MD, as its new vice chair Saturday during its meeting.
Dr. Zeligs currently serves as the Junior Fellow chair of the Armed Forces District. She plans to increase involvement in ACOG among Junior Fellows in practice, find new ways to support medical students and Junior Fellows in training, and continue the Junior Fellows programming improvement initiatives already under way among individual districts.
After getting her medical education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Dr. Zeligs completed her residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
JFCAC Chair Amanda Kallen, MD, presided over Saturday’s JFCAC meeting with Vice Chair Megan Evans, MD, preparing to take over as chair on Wednesday when the Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting ends.
