The 3rd annual Drs. Camran, Farr, and Ceana Nezhat Live Telesurgery Forum this year will feature surgeries from New York and Atlanta.
The three-hour session, which starts at 8:30 am Sunday in Ballroom 20BC, offers live surgical demonstrations that showcase the best practices of top surgeons doing safe and effective hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeries. Audience participation and questions are encouraged, and the session has been approved for three hours of CME credit.
Camran R. Nezhat, MD, FACOG, FACS, is director of the Nezhat Institute and Center for Special Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery in Palo Alto, California, and was one of the first to perform some of the more complex minimally invasive procedures decades ago. Farr Nezhat, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a founder of Nezhat Surgery for Gynecology/Oncology in New York, and Ceana Nezhat, MD, FACOG, FACS, is director of the Nezhat Medical Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery and Reproductive Medicine in Atlanta.
Dr. Ceana Nezhat will be one of the surgeons at Northside Hospital in Atlanta performing “Fertility Enhancing Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery with Demonstration of Room Setup.” Andrew A. Toledo, MD, FACOG, and Vicki Barnett, RN, MSN, CNOR, will also take part in the surgery, sponsored by Northside Hospital and Karl Storz Endoscopy.
The New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medicial Center in New York City will feature “Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy and Single Incision Total Hysterectomy.” Sudeshna Chatterjee-Paer, MD; Patrick Culligan, MD, FACOG, FACS; Tanaka Dune, MD, FACOG; Kevin Holcomb, MD, FACOG; and Courtney Harris, PA, will perform the surgery, which is sponsored by New York Presbyterian Hospital.
