New at this year’s Annual Meeting, ACOG will present a special surgical forum and live telesurgery session at 9 am Monday in Room 104.
The “Drs. Camran, Farr and Ceana Nezhat Surgical Forum and Live Telesurgery Session,” which is included in the meeting registration fee, features four surgical tutorials during the three-hour session:
MRI-Based Pelvic Anatomy: Lennox P. John Hoyte, MD, will use interactive demonstration to detail the utilization of MRI in relation to pelvic anatomy.
Techniques in Abnormal Wound Closure Including the Obese Patient: Joel Sorosky, MD, will demonstrate abdominal incisions and wound closures, using slides and film to explain the technique.
Optimizing Robotics During Laparoscopic Surgery: Arnold P. Advincula, MD, will highlight strategies for the effective application of robotics in minimally invasive hysterectomy and myomectomy. Case standardization, cost containment, and potential complications will be discussed.
Techniques in Hysteroscopic Surgery: Operative Hysteroscopy: Linda Bradley, MD, will review traditional hysteroscopic resection techniques and the emerging role of hysteroscopic tissue removal through video presentations, case-based formats, and question-and-answer sessions. Morcellation and preoperative saline infusion sonography will be reviewed.
