The Personal Review of Learning in Obstetrics and Gynecology (PROLOG) series continues to expand its digital learning offerings that offer physicians up to 25 CME credits per volume.
PROLOG will continue to offer a printed assessment book and critique book, along with a printed answer sheet. To enhance the PROLOG experience, the online self-assessment, also available to purchasers of the printed PROLOG products, offers unique advantages.
Those using the online assessment and scoring 80 percent or higher will get their CME credits immediately. As in the past, paper assessment users must mail in their assessments, then wait four to six weeks for them to be scored before receiving a letter certifying the CME credits. With the online assessment, users who do not pass on the first attempt, can immediately re-take the assessment for free as many times as necessary.
The online assessment is now available for all six volumes: Patient Management in the Office, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology and Critical Care, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Obstetrics, and Gynecology and Surgery (Seventh editions). The Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery assessment is only online.
Beginning in May 2017, those purchasing the online assessment also have access to PROLOG Games, a digital practice mode that offers four different options — Classic Quiz, Beat the Clock (user specifies duration of the game), Hot Streak (how many questions can be answered consecutively), and Marathon (time and points added for each correct answer). This practice mode gives residents and PROLOG purchasers study opportunities in a customized, randomized — and fun — manner designed to fit different learning styles and busy schedules. All residents in programs that are active ACOG members can access PROLOG Games.
To accompany the online assessment, ACOG now offers PROLOG volumes as eBooks. Currently, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Seventh edition), and Gynecologic Oncology and Critical Care (Seventh edition) are available as eBooks; Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (Seventh edition) and Gynecology and Surgery (Seventh edition) will be available this summer. The Obstetrics volume will be available as an eBook when the 8th edition is released in January 2018. The printed Assessment and Critique books remain popular and will not be replaced by digital versions of the volumes.
Learn more or purchase any or all of the volumes at the ACOG Bookstore at the Annual Meeting or in the ACOG online bookstore, sales.acog.org. There is a 10 percent discount on all PROLOG purchases during this year’s Annual Meeting.
