Global Obstetrics and Life Saving Skills (GOALS) Course

Global Obstetrics and Life Saving Skills (GOALS) Course

The Global Obstetrics and Life Saving Skills (GOALS) course is an evidence-based simulation skills course designed to help OB/GYNs maximize preparedness for work in lower-resource settings. The course includes a multidisciplinary team of faculty with extensive global experience. The simulation stations provide hands-on opportunities to practice skills including management of hemorrhage, severe obstructed labor, D&E/destructive delivery, and complex wound care. The course faculty also provide a repository of online e-learning modules, pertinent websites, and other relevant resources. At the completion of this course, participants will understand how to better prepare for work in lower-resource settings and how to best utilize local resources. This course is designed for senior level trainees (PGY-3 and beyond) and any physician who may be less familiar with work in lower-resource settings.

If you are unable to register for the course because participation is capped and would like to attend a GOALS course in the future, please contact Simulations@acog.org (Subject: GOALS course).
