Introduction to Menopause: A Starter Course

Widely covered in the contemporary lay press, menopause is a hot topic! A total of 1.3 million women in the United States enter menopause each year. However, a recently published needs assessment found that less than one-third of ob-gyn residency programs have a menopause curriculum, and many practicing ob-gyns feel uncomfortable addressing menopause concerns. This course will provide essential knowledge to improve practicing physicians’ competence and comfort with caring for patients experiencing the menopause transition and menopause. Through interactive presentations, the course will address the diagnosis and management of menopause and menopause-adjacent conditions, vasomotor symptoms, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, nonhormone and hormone pharmacotherapy, bone health, and shared decision-making.

Time: 8 a.m.–Noon
Price: $300
Please note: ACSM registration is not required to attend.

Complex Menopause Management: An Advanced Course
